Which DJI cameras are actually selling the most on Amazon in 2026?
According to Amazon marketplace sales data tracked by STARTRC, the monitored DJI camera models generated an estimated 70,532 units in August 2026, down approximately 6.3% from July.
But the most interesting finding is not the overall decline.
Despite the arrival of newer Pocket and Action models, DJI Osmo Pocket 3 remained the best-selling model in our August dataset with an estimated 17,103 units, while Osmo Action 4 ranked second with 13,388 units.
That creates an important signal for the accessory business:
New product launches do not immediately eliminate demand for previous-generation platforms.
For distributors, retailers and accessory sellers, understanding this transition can help determine which accessory lines to maintain, which to expand and where to test new products.
Data note: All sales figures in this article are estimated Amazon marketplace sales based on Sorttime data and STARTRC's internal analysis. They do not represent DJI's official global sales or shipment figures.
Among the DJI camera models monitored, Pocket 3 and Action 4 continued to lead the market, while newer platforms such as Pocket 4, Pocket 4P and Action 6 were building meaningful sales volume.
| Rank | Model | Estimated Units | Market Signal |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Osmo Pocket 3 | 17,103 | Mature / High Volume |
| 2 | Osmo Action 4 | 13,388 | Mature / High Volume |
| 3 | Osmo Pocket 4 | 9,423 | Growing Ecosystem |
| 4 | Osmo Pocket 4P | 7,595 | New Platform |
| 5 | Osmo Action 6 | 7,215 | New Platform |
| 6 | Osmo Action 5 Pro | 6,077 | Transition Stage |
| 7 | Osmo Nano | 5,175 | Emerging / Niche |
| 8 | Osmo 360 | 3,263 | Specialized Platform |
This ranking is based on estimated Amazon unit sales rather than editorial ratings or product specifications. In other words, it answers what appears to be selling, rather than which camera we believe is "best."
And the ranking reveals something particularly relevant to accessory sellers: older and newer generations are selling side by side.
The Pocket series provides the clearest example.
In August, estimated Amazon sales were:
Pocket 4 and Pocket 4P are already building their installed bases, but Pocket 3 remained significantly ahead in the monitored dataset.
For accessory distributors, this means a new product launch should not automatically trigger the removal of previous-generation accessories.
A mature platform with a large active user base can continue generating demand for protective cases, carrying solutions, filters, mounts, adapters and replacement accessories, even as customers begin adopting the next generation.
This is why accessory lifecycle and hardware launch cycle should not be treated as the same thing.
A new camera creates a new accessory opportunity. It does not necessarily erase the previous one.
The Action series reinforces the same point.
Osmo Action 4 recorded approximately 13,388 estimated units in August, compared with 7,215 for Action 6 and 6,077 for Action 5 Pro.
This does not mean Action 4 will remain ahead indefinitely. It does show that product transitions can take time.
For distributors, the practical approach is therefore not simply:
Old model → discontinue
New model → replace
A better approach is a layered transition:
Mature high-volume platform → Maintain
Growing platform → Expand
New platform → Develop and test
Transition platform → Optimize inventory
This reduces the risk of abandoning an active installed base while still allowing the business to prepare for newer platforms.
The August dataset also shows why global rankings alone are not enough for B2B assortment planning.
Across the 11 monitored Amazon marketplaces, estimated August sales totaled 70,532 units.
The United States was the largest monitored market with 22,551 units, or 31.97% of the total. Japan followed at 14.03%, the United Kingdom at 11.90%, and Germany at 11.14%.
ogether, the U.S., Japan, UK and Germany represented roughly 69% of the monitored volume, but individual models showed different geographic patterns.
Pocket 3, for example, was particularly strong in the U.S., while Pocket 4P showed a more diversified distribution, with Japan representing the largest share of its August volume.
For distributors, that distinction matters:
A model with strong global sales is not automatically the strongest accessory opportunity in every local market.
Accessory purchasing decisions should therefore consider both model-level momentum and regional hardware demand.
Camera accessories operate within a hardware-dependent ecosystem.
Model-specific cases, protective frames, filters, mounts and other accessories require an active installed base of compatible cameras.
The relationship can be summarized as:
Hardware Sales → Installed Base → Accessory Demand → Distributor Assortment → Product Development & Supply
However, hardware volume should be treated as a market signal rather than a guaranteed accessory-sales forecast.
Accessory demand also depends on user profile, product usefulness, price, competition, regional preferences and replacement frequency.
That means distributors should interpret each stage differently.
A mature platform with high hardware volume may justify maintaining proven SKUs. A growing platform may justify broader assortment. A newly launched platform may be better suited to smaller initial orders while actual accessory sell-through is tested.
Based on the August marketplace signals, we can translate the hardware data into a practical accessory lifecycle framework.
| Platform | August Units | Stage | Distributor Approach |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pocket 3 | 17,103 | Mature / High Volume | Maintain & Optimize |
| Action 4 | 13,388 | Mature / High Volume | Maintain & Optimize |
| Pocket 4 | 9,423 | Growth Platform | Expand Assortment |
| Pocket 4P | 7,595 | New Platform | Develop & Test |
| Action 6 | 7,215 | Growth Platform | Expand Assortment |
| Action 5 Pro | 6,077 | Transition | Optimize Inventory |
| Osmo Nano | 5,175 | Emerging / Niche | Optimize Inventory |
| Osmo 360 | 3,263 | Specialized | Selective Development |
The key principle is:
For Q4 assortment planning, mature high-volume platforms such as Pocket 3 and Action 4 may still deserve inventory support.
At the same time, Pocket 4, Pocket 4P and Action 6 are building newer installed bases that accessory businesses should monitor closely.
The objective is not to carry every possible SKU. It is to align assortment depth with hardware lifecycle and actual customer demand.
For distributors, wholesalers, retailers and e-commerce sellers, the August data suggests four practical actions.
1. Maintain proven accessories for high-volume mature platforms.
Pocket 3 and Action 4 remain too significant in the monitored dataset to judge solely by product age.
2. Expand newer ecosystems gradually.
Pocket 4 and Action 6 are developing meaningful hardware volume, making them relevant platforms for selective assortment expansion.
3. Test new platforms before committing to deep inventory.
Pocket 4P represents an emerging opportunity, but regional demand varies considerably. Initial assortment and inventory can be adjusted according to local sell-through.
4. Plan by market, not just global ranking.
The U.S., Japan, UK and Germany account for large shares of monitored demand, but the strongest model mix differs by country.
The best inventory decision therefore combines marketplace data with a distributor's own sales history, customer profile and regional demand.
For STARTRC, monitoring host-device sales is one way to understand how the accessory market may develop.
We look at hardware adoption alongside product launches, distributor feedback and accessory demand to evaluate which platforms may require new products, broader assortments or continued support.
For B2B customers, this can support cooperation across areas such as:
DJI-compatible camera accessory wholesale
New-model accessory development
OEM/ODM projects
Private-label accessory programs
Product assortment planning
The goal is not simply to add more SKUs. It is to develop and supply accessories around the platforms customers are actually using.
Tell us which DJI camera platforms you currently sell and which markets you serve. STARTRC can discuss available accessory categories, wholesale options and OEM/ODM opportunities based on your business needs.

Among the DJI camera models monitored in this dataset, Osmo Pocket 3 ranked first with approximately 17,103 estimated units, followed by Osmo Action 4 with 13,388 units.
Yes, within the monitored Amazon dataset. Pocket 3 recorded approximately 17,103 estimated units in August, compared with 9,423 for Pocket 4 and 7,595 for Pocket 4P. This suggests that multiple Pocket generations can remain commercially active at the same time.
Not solely because a newer model has launched. Hardware volume, installed base, local demand and actual accessory sell-through should all be considered before discontinuing an accessory line.
