Will the cable keep pulling my camera back while I film?

The locking design holds the cable at your chosen extension, so it does not continuously retract while you frame your shot.

How do I retract the cable after filming?

Give the extended cable a brief additional pull to release the lock, then guide it back gently. Avoid forceful pulling.

How far can I move the camera?

The cable extends up to 80 cm. Your usable reach also depends on where the carabiner is attached and how the camera is connected.

Where can I clip the tether?

Use a suitable, secure attachment point such as a belt loop, backpack strap or chest harness. Check both ends of the connection before use.

Do I need to remove my camera cage?

Not necessarily. A compatible cage can remain installed if its 1/4-inch threaded connection is accessible and the tether does not interfere with camera movement.

Does every listed camera attach directly?

No. Some configurations need a compatible threaded handle, base or adapter. The included screw requires a suitable 1/4-inch threaded socket.

Does the length lock hold the camera in a fixed shooting position?

No. It holds the cable extension. It is not a camera support arm or a stabilizer; continue to hold the camera while filming.

Will it prevent all drop damage?

No. It provides a secondary connection for accidental slips, but protection depends on attachment strength, available clearance and the circumstances of the fall.
